Each year I use the Harry Potter house system, books, and movies to teach my students reading skills, teamwork, Math, and Science. We use the books to compare and contrast characters, the Hogwarts decor is used for my students to decorate their houses and discuss their significance in relation to the books and help them strengthen their feelings of empathy towards others. Being that I am a teacher, my financial resources are limited, but the more I can bring this experience to life for them, the more invested they will be. Bringing Hogwarts to life for them each year has brought them closer together as a class and makes them connect on a deeper level.
