My students absolutely love having developmental centers in our classroom! As a first year teacher, I am working to build the resources in my classroom to best help my students grow and learn. We already have centers in place in our classroom, but they are lacking the materials the students need in order to benefit from developmental centers. Each item requested already has a "home" in a center in our classroom. The wooden blocks, people, animals, and cars will be a great addition to our block center. The dot markers, stamps and Play-Doh will be used in our art center to give the students a variety of options for creativity. The magnetic tiles and Magic Briks will be used on the rug to complete our magnet center. The laboratory kit, balance and magnetic match rings will go great in our science center! These items will help my students improve in reading, writing, math and science through hands-on activities. By donating to this project you are allowing my students to build, investigate, create, imagine and explore! But, most importantly, you are helping them to have FUN while doing so. Not only do developmental centers help my students practice skills learned in the classroom, but they also enhance problem-solving skills, social skills, and improve self-esteem!
