These book sets will allow our class to start literature circles. My students are drawn to realistic fiction and fantasy stories. I chose the titles One and Only Ivan, The Giver, Walk Two Moons, and Number the Stars because they are high interest books that would hold my students' interest and spark group discussions.
Having literature circles in my classroom will provide my students the opportunity to immerse themselves in rich literature, together, with their classmates. They will be given daily opportunities to discuss their readings and to really dig deeper into the characters and the themes that are embedded in these wonderful literatures.
