Many of my students need hands-on activities to help them learn scientific concepts in Biology and Chemistry. They crave laboratory experience due to being in a high school setting. An electronic balance will aid in obtaining measurements in chemicals and other equipment. This is sorely needed because I'm currently using a kitchen food scale to measure out grams of some substances. Currently the kitchen scales we use are partially inaccurate. My students just love to explore the lab activities that I have found for them to successfully perform so, we use them. These scales will allow me to create chemical solutions for use in other experiments, which will give them more lab opportunities to explore.
