Essentially, I believe that a welcoming classroom is a successful classroom. That's why we need basics like tissue and first-aid kits. Right now, I am using my money to buy these things because I think my students need them.
The other items like red pens and colored paper will help students be more collaborative in class. Red pens are used for peer grading and reflection. Colored paper will be used for organization.
Overall, these materials will enable our classroom to be more interactive and less grounded in lecture.
