Our 6th grade students will be asked to expand their knowledge and understanding on the global crisis of affordable living. We will be focusing on how tiny homes have been one of the options that have been explored. During Global Studies, we will dig deeper into the journey of refugees. In math, we will be applying our geometry skills by designing tiny homes that would fit their needs. The journals, pens, and colored pencils will allow them to draw and modify their ideas as they work. The card stock, scissors, and tape will allow them to build it.
My 6th graders will tap into their creativity and artistic side as they apply their math skills and design a tiny home.
To build their understanding of area and perimeter, our project has hands-on math materials so they can build quadrilaterals and measure angles. I know that my students will benefit from this project in so many ways. Your donation will allow me to make math into STEAM. I cannot wait to see their excitement and innovative ideas!
