Historical fiction books are an enticing way to develop a love for reading in young students. How often have you heard a child say "did this really happen?" The "I Survived" series provides the perfect level of action and suspense for young readers. I hope to instill a love of reading in my students by using engaging text that tells the stories of children surviving things that REALLY happened. Engaging students in a rich historical curriculum provides them with contextual knowledge about their past that equips them with the knowledge to strive for an amazing future.
