The materials used will allow students more choice for flexible seating in our classroom. Not all students prefer to sit in a standard desk, and others learn better in a more-comfortable atmosphere and environment. Consider where people do their best work -- in an atmosphere or environment where they're comfortable (think along the lines of a Starbucks, library, or at home).
The materials used would help add to and enhance, as well as replace some of the flexible seating options I have already put in place in my classroom in the past few years. Over the past four years, I have spent much of my own money to provide these seating alternatives and options for my students. Due to normal wear and tear over time, and after four years, I'd like to begin replacing some of the furniture. My students deserve the world and I want to give that to them as much as possible.
Several of our existing stools have broken, and many have asked if they'll be replaced at some point. This project would provide them with flexibility and comfort in order to maintain a positive, productive learning environment.
Thank you for your consideration and support with this endeavor.
