Students tend to get nervous when attempting to read Shakespeare's works. The language and vocabulary can prove to be too complex and difficult for them to understand and in turn they feel frustrated. With these books, the students will have access to the Shakespearean language with a modern English translation on the opposite page which will help ease their frustrations as they read. Many of my students read far below grade level and I know that these books can help them all feel capable and be success. The books will be used as a tool to help the students get a better grasp of the themes, characters and conflicts that we will be studying in depth through out the unit.
