All of the laboratory supplies that I am requesting will be used in science lessons. They are necessary for whole class and student led experiments. In the past, our matter unit has been limited to readings, pictures, and videos, but with your donations, my students will be able to test their own ideas to understand the three states of matter, law of conservation of mass, and many other core concepts.
The safety equipment, bunsen burners, and scales will help my students learn science ideas as scientists do.
Students will have multiple opportunities to practice being scientist by designing experiments and testing their thinking. These experiments are vital to students learning to reason and revise their thinking. With your contributions, students will develop their scientific practices as well as their desire to do science!
