The use of computers is a daily activity in my classroom. Our students use computers to practice and learn reading, writing and math strategies. It is a productive and interactive time that helps motivate struggling learners but also challenges the advanced learner. The students are better able to focus and concentrate when wearing comfortable headphones.
Giving low-income students access to new technology is an investment in their future. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and income levels. Some do not have computers or tablets at home. Using computers at school helps 'close the gap' and develop their confidence in using technology in an educational manner.
