Even before COVID-19 hit, my students primarily used school texts and my own classroom library for their reading choices both at home and in the classroom. Over the last 5 years, I have collected and grown a large classroom library, but I, unfortunately, cannot share it during virtual learning.
Learning from home is a challenge, and I want my students to have access to chapter books at home.
For this reason, I am wanting to provide each student with their very own copy of our novel study, Bud, Not Buddy. This way, they can still benefit from reading along with me across a virtual platform. I highly believe that listening to read-alouds promotes reading success.
