Young authors need to see their writing go through the entire composition process: outline, draft, edit, rewrite and publish. These requested publishing materials would make publishing possible for my students. Students will use the colored paper to make exciting covers for their books. Students will use ribbon, yarn and beads to create personalized binding options for their books. With all of the supplies in this publishing center students will make their writings come alive in the publishing process! Having a publishing center for my students would offer them the opportunity to celebrate and share their writing. Student books can be added to our classroom library for other students to read and enjoy. Published books can also be sent home for students to proudly read to their families. A publishing center would be a celebration of learning for all students!
