My students often struggle with the most basic skills. Research has shown that interventions offered at an early age can improve child outcomes. Many of my struggling students are missing basic skills like number sense and letter name and sound recognition. The Osmo is a fun and engaging way to teach numbers, counting, addition, and multiplication, as well as problem-solving skills, spatial relational skills, spelling and critical thinking skills. These skills are taught through iPad apps, such as Newton, Numbers, Tangram and Words and the Osmo system. Building basic skills will do a lot to build successful students and my students will benefit from an engaging device to help them be successful.
