The amplification system and wireless microphone will allow my students to hear over the sometimes excess noise and it provides all students the ability to hear clearly even if they are in the back of the classroom. My students present skits and projects to the class and it makes it easier for students to be heard when presenting to larger audiences. It helps students be focused on the presentation versus other studnets who may be distracting.
With the amplification system, whether the teacher or a fellow student is presenting, the whole class will be able to hear and focus on content instead of the millions of other distracting sounds around the classroom.
This technology facilitates learning because students need to communicate with one another to advance their speaking, listening and collaboration skills. Putting on a show, presenting a skit or role-play activities will suddenly turn into memorable opportunities for my students to practice speaking and listening skills because everyone will be able to hear.
"Listening is the primary access point to learning. But barriers in the classroom such as distance, noise and mild hearing loss block effective communication and create unequal access to learning."-Lightspeed
