Our students need sensory tools to help them self regulate and adapt to various sensory stimuli appropriately. The group of students that I work with have difficulty navigating throughout the school day without multiple sensory breaks. Without these breaks, the children often have meltdowns because they have difficulty processing the noise and commotion throughout the day. I would like to create a sensory room that these children can go to that will help regulate their systems and make their school day a little easier. These sensory breaks are vital to their education and day to day functioning. The children will be able to use the inflatable rocker and cocoon swing for calming. The stepping stone will help with proprioception. Please help these kids get an awesome sensory room!
