We're creating a great place to have students participate in silent sustained reading. The Nest Nook will be a place created for just that, the opportunity to indulge in reading something of interest and literature that students connect with. When this project is fully funded we'll be purchasing a selection of reading materials that students will want to read. We've selected close to 30 books from the 2018 Award Winning list; Selections they don't have in the traditional classroom setting. In turn we will be developing great reading habits and increasing interest in reading for pleasure. Silent Sustained reading is one of our district wide initiatives this year.
