Students will be able to participate in reading programs that focus on the skills they need to work on. These lessons will help so teachers can also confer with students during mini-lessons to be able to support their individual reading needs. Our Humanities class has 30 minutes of extended literacy each day. During this time, we participate in conferring to meet individual student needs. Some the opportunities require headphones. Additionally, during Humanities, students will be provided more equal access to opportunities within the classroom to allow them to complete different types of projects. Humanities is a good mix of Social Studies and Language Arts. During this class, students participate in projects that emphasize their voice. Headphones will allow them all participate in analyzing mixed meeting to be civically involved.
