The monitor will allow me to have multiple screens open and see what my Computer Science students are working on and to showcase their projects.
AP Calculus will be able to create a parabola with a tennis ball, graph it on the chart paper and through the year find the equation of the tangent line, compare it to the secant line and see the Existence theorems on their year long project.
Calculus students will use the Wikki Stix to graph slope fields and to find the area under the curve. The pony beads and cardstock will be used to create a 3 dimensional rotation of a curve about an axis and find the volume. The pineapple is a perfect example of rotation about an axis as you open the fan.
