In my classroom, I try very hard to keep our learning as interactive and personal as possible. It is super important to me that the students are engaged in everything we do. My students have to overcome so many challenges in their lives. Most of my students do not come from a very supportive home life. Our school is urban, and in the highest-poverty level. School is often one of the most stable and safe environments that my students are in everyday. I try very hard to set high expectations and encourage and assist my students in rising to that level.
