These headphones will give students access to online resources, a variety of texts, and an extraordinary amount of information that will support their learning. This technology will also help to develop the reading skills of my students, allowing them to see the words in a story and hear them in a fluid way. My students will be able to have online texts read to them, be able to change the speed at which they are being read, and work at their own pace. Not only will this technology help build confidence with each individual child, but it will also allow for a higher rate of student success
These donations will help my students gain independence in their learning. They will no longer have to worry about the volume of the learning apps (which at times make it impossible for some students to focus) or style of resources we are using and instead will be able to take full advantage of them. Whether it is listening along to a story, participating in a reading test, or learning to type, each individual student will have the opportunity to do so in a way that helps them thrive.
