In the Montessori classroom, students are encouraged to explore their environment through freedom within limits.
Students receive instruction in early reading skills, phonics, and writing activities. We give lessons on Mathematics relating it to the world. A huge component of our classroom is Grace and Courtesy which is how we interact with others and how we treat the materials we use. We will provide them the opportunity to explore their lessons with a teacher as their guide. Once comfortable with the new materials learned, they can freely explore the materials at their own learning pace.
Increasing the resources we have will be a huge asset to our learning community, providing a peaceful and age appropriate space for them to excel at language-based and math activities. Having age appropriate and challenging materials for quality instruction is crucial.
