Visuals play a major role in student success. Good visuals help student store information longer, make communication quicker and simpler, aid in better comprehension, can act as stimulators for emotions and can drive motivation. According to Dr. Lynell Burmark, an education consultant, words are processed by our short term memory where we can only retain about seven bits of information, images; on the other hand, go directly into long term memory where they are indelibly etched. An Apple TV medial player will help immensely in delivering those ever important visuals as well as simplify the delivery making it more likely when I use visuals in a lesson.
