Clarinets and Saxophones are really important instruments in band class, and I have many students that play these instruments. However, these instruments only play if they have a working reed. These reeds can be expensive to replace, and we sometimes have students go days without playing in band class because they do not have one. Students often play on old reeds or even reeds that are cracked or chipped, which is not good for playing.
Reeds are a must have for these students. Their instruments do not work without them. Having a stock of reeds in the band room will help make sure that each student can be successful and participate in class each day.
