I have taught fourteen years in a rural public school system in Tennessee, and I work at a high poverty school, however, there is no lack of enthusiasm for learning throughout my years of teaching third through fifth grade, I have found students get excited about all of our extra curricular projects. Whether it be for a field trip for recycling, planting trees, gaining access to technology, building our classroom library, or learning and sharing about ways to deter bullying, they are always eager to help and learn.
