In a typical school day students have a rigid, structured schedule. This schedule makes it difficult to find time to allow students to be independent problem identifiers and then problem solvers. With rigorous testing and assessments students also get a tendency to believe to fail is a terrible thing, but that is not what innovators believe.
The goal of this project is to teach students to use their creativity to problem solve and build resilience when faced with initial failure. A Maker Space will allow students to focus on topics and areas that they find interesting. Students will develop a passion for lifelong learning.
