Our school has really been focusing on amping up our guided reading instruction to meet our students needs. This requires a variety of texts and materials for a variety of groups. The past year, I noticed a big need for a few classroom supplies that would make our guided reading time much smoother so that I can utilize each moment I have with students on focused instruction.
These materials will help minimize transition times for students as well as the teacher and require students to move as little materials as possible in order to maximize classroom time.
These supplies will ensure that students have what they need at their fingertips so they are not searching for materials instead of participating instruction. The supplies will also aid in helping me organize the variety of instruction materials and text so I can seamlessly move between different groups of students to meet their needs.
