My students are always amazing me. They are very enthusiastic to learn, and to share their knowledge with the class.
The scholars in my class are continually challenging themelves to speak in a second language; they are part of our school's dual immersion program for bilingual education. Half of my students are native English speakers (learning Spanish), and half are native Spanish speakers (learning English). It is a very interesting experience to see how students help each other learn the languages.
Students at our school come from low-income households, with 61% of students receiving free or reduced lunch.
At our school, Georgia Brown Elementary, "Language is Everything!"
