I whole heartedly believe that to awaken the inner-reader in every child, you must pair them with the PERFECT book. This can be difficult to do when a child reaches the 8th grade and feels very defeated because they have struggled with reading for so many years. With the use of these new books, I will be able to integrate the stories into my mini-lessons to build reading skills that students can then transfer to their independent novels. Everyone deserves equal access to books so that their inner reader may be awakened! Join me in helping to close the literacy gap for my students!
