I am asking for materials to modify, accommodate and assist the students with special needs in my classroom. Things such as wiggle seats to keep their body moving in one place during group times, light covers to dim the sometimes overbearing florescent lights in the classroom for students with sensory needs, pressure vests to help students feel secure during different times throughout the day and fidget toys to keep students focused during structured learning times.
It is important for my students to feel as if they can do anything in my classroom! The materials I am asking for will not only benefit the learners with special needs but also their general education peers.
You will be providing students with materials that will help them be successful in the classroom and make them feel more confident in themselves.
