We go outside on a daily basis to explore and learn about nature. Often, we have to haul our items from outside into our classroom to work with. It would be nice for my students to have an area outside to hold their collections from nature and to sort, explore, and investigate.
Preschoolers are naturally curious about the world around them. As they learn outdoors, they are using communication skills to discuss and analyze what they see, hear, smell, and touch. They are using math skills to sort and count. They are using science skills as they observe and compare.
Outdoor seating and exploration tables would assist in our preschool investigations.
