What would you paint on a blank canvas? Have you ever painted a blank canvas? Did someone tell you what to paint, did you copy what someone was painting, or did you use your own imagination?
No one can mess up a blank canvas. They are inspiring, forgiving, and fun! They hold a child's whole imagination in a white square. Students will benefit because their canvas they create in 4th grade will be with them forever. Even when they're packing their bedroom getting ready to leave to college, they will take with them the canvas they painted when they were 10 years old!
Students will use canvas and paint brushes to learn practice the 5 elements of art and create their own prices of art based on those elements.
