Students in my Dolphin's Donate class will learn various ways to give back and support our local community members in need. (Dolphins are our schools mascot.) We are going to make blankets to donate to our local Children's Hospital as well as Cross Stitch breast cancer ribbons to give to women going through treatments.
Your generous donation to this project will provide the students to be able to learn to weave and make a loom to be able to donate place mats to our local Meals on Wheels program. This will change our students' lives for the better because it will ensure they will have fun while learning and giving back!
The project that my students will use the yarn that we are requesting is one in which they will learn to weave place mats that we will then donate to our local Meals on Wheels Program. This will ensure they learn a new skill but also the value of giving back. We will need materials to be able to complete this project. We are requesting yarn of different colors and also round weaving kits that will aid in the students learning different weaving techniques to ultimately produce place mats that we can donate to our local Meals on Wheels Program.
