They are low income and receive free breakfast and lunch. Some of them do not have their own space at home, they sleep on a sofa or in a sleeping bag in the living room. I try to have my classroom pleasant, colorful, and a place where they not only learn, but they consider it their second home.
A new carpet will be great for our circle time, where my kids may develop their oral skills. They can display materials during workstations and work with a partner, or simply lay down to read a nice book.
A large carpet will be a very useful tool and a nice touch to our classroom!
