The materials I requested will have an impact on academic learning in various ways. The Math manipulatives will provide student engagement while learning. I have always noticed that my students are able to learn better when they are able to put their hands on something and see how it works in real life. The literacy materials will add more excitement and fun to our stations. During whole group lessons, I would be able to pass them out each group to allow for a much more fun and interactive lesson. I believe the more interactive a lesson is, the more likely a student is to retain that information. The Science materials will make the lessons more engaging and provide a more hands on experiment. They will have the opportunity to see how Science works in real life. The desk privacy dividers will allow students to work independently without distractions at the desk next to them. The furniture will provide students with different opportunities to sit in a place they feel the most comfortable while learning at the same time. The fidgets will allow my students to remained focused and calm throughout the day. As a teacher, I will also have more manipulatives and materials available to teach the students during in-person school, and also even in distance learning situations. The materials I requested will make learning much more exciting and engaging. They will allow for more social interaction, which has been difficult at times due to the pandemic. Each of the materials will benefit academic learning in various ways.
