Teaching English Language Development is an excellent way to build students' literacy abilities. Working through four stations (Word Work, Listening, Writing, and Independent Reading) students are given work that is tailored to their reading and writing level. For independent reading, students are required to pick books using the "I PICK" model.
By providing my students with books that are appropriate for their reading level, I hope that they begin to develop a love for books. Currently, we only have ten books that are Level A-H and students always seem disengaged when reading independently. By donating to this project, you can help stock our classroom library with books that my students will love!
