A new piano is needed in our band room due to an untimely demise of our old piano. We have tried many avenues to fixing our old piano, but we've had no luck. According to MSHSAA guidelines, students must have an accompanist for a solo with a written piano part (which is almost all of them). It will provide students the opportunity to practice with a real piano like how it will be in their contest. High school soloists must ALWAYS practice with their accompanist before they go to contest.
This piano will help our students by giving them a piano to play in jazz band as well as for an accompanist to accompany them in solo/ensemble contest. Our students strive to do participate in extra events with band and are very successful! Please help keep their interest alive and help us purchase a piano.
