With a classroom set of the book, The Other Wes Moore, my students will spend more time reading and engaging with text involving themes such as the power of choices, environment, and support systems.
I am asking that my students read this book and reflect individually and with their classmates to examine how our everyday decisions structure our lives, while sharpening their critical thinking skills.
My students will also build an appetite for learning through literature also preparing them for their post-secondary lives. It is important to me that students have an opportunity to read various narratives and genres so they can build their reading skills.
