With COVID, our students cannot drink out of our water fountains, and we go through a lot of plastic cups. I want to give a reusable water bottle to every student in our building to access water more efficiently.
According to Maslow, there are specific needs that have to be met for children to learn. Having access to clean water is a basic need, and when students don't have anything to put water in and are thirsty, they get grumpy. This then leads to irritability and conflict amongst each other in the classroom. These water bottles will ensure that each student has something to drink water out of.
