Every student is unique in many ways. The way students learn is also very unique. This new technology will help me reach out to all unique learners in multiple ways. For example analyzing pictures helps students see and understand what something may have looked like at a previous time. Picture analysis is something any level student can do and is fun and concrete.
Your generous donation will help me reach students who have different learning styles in ways not possible without this technology. For example a song from the Great Depression can help students relive the hardships of that time. A video from the Cold War Era can help students feel and understand the fear that Americans felt in the 1970's. With this new technology I can inspire a new passion for history in my classroom every day.
Students will also be able to use this new technology to analyze primary sources and do projects as a class. As a class we can read and underline a source together. This will be beneficial to all students especially some of the students who do not speak English very well. These students will be able to work with other students and learn from them as well as work with me. Currently I do not have the technology to teach these skills as efficiently.
