These supplies will help our minority, first-generation and low-income students successfully transition to college. We are planning an event to celebrate our seniors for choosing post-secondary education as their next step.
We have planned an afternoon of entertainment, raffle giveaways, and will give seniors the opportunity to meet, mingle, and participate in teambuilding with others who will attend the same college/university/military branch.
The requested materials will make their transition a little easier by taking away the financial burden of buying essential items for school. They will not have to worry about buying some of the bigger items and will be able to focus on preparing their minds for a new start.
