Support Mrs. Estrada's classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
Most of my students come from low income homes and their parents are not able to purchase the basic materials that they need in order to be successful in school.
I want to make sure that my students have exactly what they need in order to learn and grow. We have recently started using interactive notebooks for both Math and Science and I have noticed that it helps them understand the concepts better. However, interactive notebooks require a lot of different materials. For example scissors, glue, color crayons, construction paper and notebooks. It would be amazing if we were able to get all of those materials.
The next item on the my list is dry erase markers. These markers will be used strictly by my students when working on math problems literally on their desks. As a teacher, I have noticed that my students are able to catch those simple mistakes when they are working out the problems on their desks with dry erase markers.
The next item on my list is the headphones. We only have one headphone per classroom so it's really had to send more than one student to work on the computers. Having two more headphones would give more students the opportunity to work on the computers.
The last item on the list is facial tissue. Here in Texas, the weather changes quickly and as a result, the students get sick often and we run out of tissue paper super fast. Having tissue paper will make my students feel more comfortable when coming to school sick.
These school supplies might seem insignificant but they will make a big difference in my students' education.
