My students go outdoors everyday. We have a concrete playground surrounded by dirt in which they love to look for rolly pollies. We would like to enrich their environment by adding lavender and other plants which will invite the bees, humming birds and other life. These plants and creatures will stimulate the children's curiosity and love for learning by providing authentic experiences to learn about life sciences. This project will make a difference because this may be their only experience with nature that is not televised. These children often live in apartments with no garden and dirt patches for parks.
