If my project gets chosen, my students will have a place of gathering with their peers as well as having a central location for group instruction that is not at their desks. I feel it is very important for students to get movement throughout the day, and what better way than to have students get up and gather together as a group. This will also allow for differentiated instruction to take place and for students to interact with other peers than the ones at their table groups. I really value student interaction and opinions. What better way to have that than at carpet time as a group?
