Our students come from low income families and most of them don't own a book to call their own. With this project, I can read the book with them during the day and they can re-read the book at night with their families.
My students will read and make predictions about the story.
We will pull out the main idea and details. We will have Literature circles where we will discuss the characters and how they are changing throughout the story. With the books in the hands of the students, they are bound to be successful and enjoy the book to the fullest.
