I have 28 beautiful students in my class this year. 20 boys and 8 girls. I have 8 students on IEPs, 7 ELL students, and 6 students with diagnosed ADHD. There are students with challenging home lives and many that have experienced trauma. It has been my most challenging year as a teacher; however, one of my most rewarding as well. I am in touch with more caring parents than ever before on a daily basis, and I get more hugs and love from this bunch of students. They need me, but they also need more than I can provide for them. This hard working and terrific bunch of students have inspired me to write this grant with the hope that I can provide this class and future classes with tools necessary to feel success in the classroom.
