One of the most important skills a child can learn early in life is how to stay organized and set a plan for success. Second grade is a crucial year for this skill, as students are encouraged to take more responsibility for themselves and their school work. Students will be able to keep track of homework assignments, long-term projects, and upcoming special events. They will even have a convenient place to record the week's spelling words, which will make studying a breeze!
These planners will not only help keep my students accountable for their homework assignments, but will also help bridge the home-school divide that can often occur in a classroom where most parents work long hours and can sometimes feel "left out of the loop."
By funding this project, you will be providing my students with the first step in becoming more independent learners and thinkers.
