I am requesting 6 kid friendly Amazon Fire tablets to create a technology center within every content area. In literacy instruction, students will be able to use various programs designed for their levels of comprehension to fully support them at all times. Furthermore, students who are ELLs need support in listening and speaking comprehension. By using these tablets and headphones, my students will be able to listen to language in a whole new way. In math instruction, the students will be invited to play meaningful math games that promote conceptual understanding of various topics, whether they are struggling with a concept, or ready to move on. By using technology in our classroom, I hope to help my students gain confidence and take pride in their learning. Using the technology will help my students receive more targeted instruction during centers, and promote digital literacy.
