The requested testing supplies will allow students to see the difference between tap water and filtered water. Students will be able to test the difference between the tap water and a filtration bottle popular in stores.
Access to clean drinking water in our classroom will promote drinking water instead of soda. Students will be able to safely test water with the safety glasses while learning about the properties of water in chemistry, Biology and Earth Systems science. Students are expected to know how pH will impact a system including the human body. We have seen the devastating effects of a ruined water supply in Flint, Michigan, and students need to understand the important role water plays in many systems on Earth.
