Hi! I'm Nicole Wells, but my students all call me, Ms. Nikki. I have worked with students with special needs for 9 years. I currently teach at Blevins Elementary as a Special Education Teacher. It is my absolute dream job, I love it! :) I have a wonderful and diverse caseload of some of the most amazing students! I have students diagnosed with Autism, Emotional Disturbance, and Intellectual Disability. I have the most dedicated and fantastic paraprofessionals that work with me to help meet all the needs of my students. We work to address academic instruction such as reading, writing, math, science, and social studies. However, we work endlessly to foster independence, social skills, leisure skills, problem solving, self-regulation, coping strategies to deal with problem behaviors, and how to build positive friendships.
